A Single Pixel in an 8K Universe
Where is everybody?
We are here on earth, where life started approximately four billion years ago. Single-celled beings. Living things. We evolved further, into two cells. Four. Eight. And eventually, into an unimaginable number of around 30 trillion.
Made possible by a star that has been here with us for the whole ride. And by an earth that lasted long enough for life like this to establish itself. No black holes close enough to swallow us. No natural disasters that were actually, completely fatal.
No wars or conflicts that ended the whole human race. Not yet.
We endured. All to be here, alive together, in an almost infinitely small timeframe compared to the lifetime of the universe. With the chance of you existing, in your own unique form... Almost unthinkable.
And here I am, a person who like anybody else is still unsure sometimes. About the smallest things. Here, on this single pixel in an 8K universe that existed long before we arrived and will exist for at least as long after we leave.
Something to think about the next time you feel lost.
